Sponsored Link Attribute

rel="sponsored" identifies paid placements, affiliate links and sponsored content. Introduced in 2019, it provides more precise signalling than the older rel="nofollow". Failing to mark paid links as sponsored or nofollow violates Google's guidelines and can result in manual actions. Wix supports adding sponsored attributes through the link editor or HTML embed.
