Wix Fix in a Box

When you order through Wix Fix in a Box, this is what I collect and why.

What I collect

• Your website address and the pages you choose and, if you choose, your shop products, plus their current titles, descriptions, headings and text, which the tool reads from your public website.
• Your Google Search Console data, if you upload it: the searches and pages in your file, and any Page indexing reports you add. Only these tables are kept, not the whole file.
• Your name, email, business name and the details you give about your business.
• If you add the Business Profile check, the details you paste in from your profile.
• A scrambled code made from your internet connection's IP address, used only to stop repeat free orders. I don't store the IP address itself.
• Your feedback and any problem reports, if you choose to send them.
• If you use the Help button, your name, email, message and any screenshots you add are emailed to me so I can reply. They aren't stored on the site.
• If you choose Do it all for me, collaborator access to your Wix site, used only to make the changes in your guide.

Why

To write, check and send your guide, to stop misuse of free orders, and to improve the tool. The legal basis is that I need this information to provide the service you asked for, and, for feedback, your choice to give it. I never sell your data or share it for marketing.

Who helps me

Your data is handled for me by these services, only for running the tool:

• Supabase, which stores orders and runs the tool's server code.
• Netlify and Cloudflare, which host and protect my website.
• Resend, which sends the order and guide emails.
• PayPal, which takes payment for paid orders.
• Anthropic, whose Claude AI drafts the suggestions from your pages and data, which the tool then checks automatically.

How long I keep it

Your Search Console data, page text and drafts are deleted 30 days after your guide is sent. I keep a short record of the order (business name, website, number of pages, dates and status), any invoice and any feedback, for my business records.

If you ask for the 30 day progress check email, I keep your email address and first name until that one email is sent (no more than 40 days), and the clicks, impressions and positions for the pages you fixed for 180 days, so you can compare them. Nothing else is kept longer.

If you choose Monthly watch, I keep your email, site address and the latest scan of your public pages for as long as it's active, and delete them 30 days after you cancel.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing michael@frontlineweb.biz. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

SEO Fix in a Box app

SEO Fix in a Box is my app on the Wix App Market. When you install it on your Wix site, this is what it uses and why.

What the app uses

• From your Wix site, through the permissions you approve when you install it: the address, title, meta description and structured data of each page, blog post and shop product, your site's name, and the site owner's email address that Wix shares with apps.
• Your plan and any top-ups you buy, from Wix. Wix takes the payment, so I never see your card details.
• Your Google Search Console figures (searches, pages, clicks, impressions and positions), read through your site's connection to Google, to write your fixes and show your 30 day results. The app only reads them and never changes anything in Google.
• The business details you type into the app, such as what you offer and where your customers are.
• A copy of each page's SEO settings from just before you apply a fix, so Undo can put it straight back.
• A record of which pages and products you have fixed and when, to keep to your plan's limits.
• For Monthly watch, the latest scan of your pages' titles and descriptions, so I can tell you what's new each month.
• For the AI visibility check, the questions asked and whether each AI assistant mentioned you, quoted you or named another site instead.

What the app changes

Only the titles, meta descriptions and structured data of the pages, posts and products you choose, and only when you click Apply. It never changes your page text, images, reviews or anything else. Undo puts back the saved copy.

Who helps me

Your data is handled for me by these services, only for running the app:

• Wix, which hosts the app and handles billing.
• Supabase, which stores the app's data and runs its server code.
• Anthropic, whose Claude AI writes your fixes and the questions for your AI visibility check. The app then checks every fix automatically.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), Perplexity and Anthropic (Claude), which answer the AI visibility check questions. Only the questions are sent to them, never your Search Console figures or page text.
• Resend, which sends the app's emails.

How long I keep it

Your Search Console figures, page text and drafted fixes are deleted 30 days after your fixes are ready. The saved copies for Undo, the record of what you've fixed, your latest Monthly watch scan and your AI visibility check results are kept while you use the app, and I'll delete them whenever you ask. Monthly watch and AI check emails stop when you switch off Monthly watch in the app.
