Orphan Page

A page with no internal links pointing to it from elsewhere on the site.

Orphan pages are difficult for search engines to discover and accumulate no link equity from internal sources. Even valuable orphan pages may go unindexed or underperform. Audit tools identify orphans by comparing crawled pages against sitemap or analytics URLs. Resolution involves either adding internal links or removing/redirecting unneeded orphans.
