Module 16: Wix Native SEO Tools & AI Visibility | Lesson 195 of 687 | 28 min read
By Michael Andrews, Wix SEO Expert UK
The Wix SEO Dashboard has been significantly expanded in 2026 with AI-powered recommendations, integrated Semrush data, site health scoring, and AI visibility tracking. It is no longer the basic checklist it once was. This lesson provides a complete walkthrough of every panel and feature, explaining what each metric means and how to act on it.
Dashboard Overview Structure
The dashboard is organised into several distinct panels, each focusing on a different aspect of your SEO performance. At the top level, you see a site health score that aggregates technical SEO, content quality, and search performance into a single number. Below that, individual panels cover keyword tracking, page indexing, content recommendations, technical issues, and AI visibility.
The Site Health Score
This composite score reflects the overall SEO health of your Wix site on a scale of 0 to 100. It factors in technical issues (broken links, missing meta tags, crawl errors), content quality signals, and search performance trends. A score above 80 indicates good health. Between 60 and 80 means there are meaningful improvements to make. Below 60 signals significant issues that are likely affecting your rankings.
Panel-by-Panel Walkthrough
Understanding each section of the dashboard
- Keyword Performance Panel: shows which keywords your pages rank for, their positions, and trends over time. This data comes from Google Search Console integration and Semrush. Use it to identify keywords that are close to page one (positions 11-20) as quick-win optimisation targets.
- Page Indexing Panel: displays how many of your pages Google has indexed vs excluded. Click through to see specific excluded pages and the reasons. Fix "Crawled but not indexed" pages by improving their content quality.
- Content Recommendations Panel: AI-generated suggestions for improving specific pages based on current best practices. Prioritise recommendations for your highest-traffic pages.
- Technical Issues Panel: lists specific technical problems like broken internal links, missing alt text, slow-loading pages, and redirect chains. These are sorted by severity.
- Semrush Integration Panel: provides competitive intelligence, backlink data, and keyword gap analysis directly within the Wix dashboard. Available on certain Wix plans.
- AI Visibility Panel: tracks how your site performs in AI search platforms, including referral traffic, mentions, and visibility score. This is the newest and fastest-growing section.
- Site Speed Panel: Core Web Vitals data and page load performance metrics. Links to specific pages that need speed optimisation.
Weekly Dashboard Review Routine
- Check the Site Health Score for any sudden drops that indicate new issues
- Review the Keyword Performance panel for ranking changes on your top 20 target keywords
- Address any new Critical or High severity technical issues
- Check the Page Indexing panel for pages that have dropped out of the index
- Review AI Visibility trends to track your progress in AI search
- Note any content recommendations for pages you plan to update this week
How to Connect Google Search Console to Your Wix SEO Dashboard
How to link Google Search Console to the Wix SEO Dashboard so keyword and indexing data appear correctly
- Log in to your Wix dashboard at manage.wix.com and navigate to Marketing & SEO, then select SEO Tools from the menu.
- Click on the Google Search Console connection card or look for a banner prompting you to connect your GSC property.
- Click Connect and sign in with the Google account that owns or has full access to your Search Console property.
- Select the Search Console property that matches your Wix site domain from the dropdown list. If no property exists yet, open Google Search Console in a new tab and add your domain as a new property first.
- Complete the authorisation flow. Wix will request read access to your Search Console data. Click Allow.
- Return to the Wix SEO Dashboard and wait up to 24 hours for the Keyword Performance and Page Indexing panels to populate with your live GSC data.
- Once connected, open the Keyword Performance panel and review which keywords your site currently ranks for. Sort by position to find keywords in positions 11 to 20, as these represent the best quick-win optimisation opportunities.
- Open the Page Indexing panel and check for pages listed as Crawled but not indexed. For each such page, open it in the Wix Editor and assess whether the content is thin, duplicate, or missing a target keyword, then improve it accordingly.
- Set a recurring weekly reminder to check the dashboard. If the Site Health Score drops by five or more points between weekly checks, investigate the Technical Issues panel for the cause before the problem compounds.
