Share of Voice

A site's share of total potential search traffic across a keyword set.

Share of Voice (SoV) measures cumulative visibility across a defined keyword universe, weighted by search volume and ranking position. SoV provides a more holistic view of search performance than individual rankings, particularly for tracking competitive market share over time. Tools like Semrush, Ahrefs and SISTRIX calculate SoV across custom keyword groups.
