Crawl Budget

The number of pages a search engine will crawl on a site within a given period.

Crawl budget consists of crawl rate limit and crawl demand. Large sites with millions of URLs need to manage crawl budget by blocking duplicate content, eliminating thin pages, fixing broken links and prioritising freshness signals. Smaller sites under 10,000 pages rarely face crawl budget issues. Wix provides crawl statistics through Google Search Console integration.
