Core Concepts Wiki Entry
Time to First Byte (TTFB)
The time from a request being made to the first byte of response arriving.
TTFB reflects server processing speed, network latency and CDN efficiency. While not a Core Web Vital, TTFB significantly influences LCP and overall perceived speed. Good TTFB is under 800ms; poor is over 1.8 seconds. Wix's global CDN and infrastructure typically deliver strong TTFB without site owner configuration.
