HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security)

A response header that forces browsers to use HTTPS for a domain.

HSTS prevents downgrade attacks by instructing browsers to use HTTPS only for the specified domain and duration. The preload list takes this further, enforcing HTTPS at the browser-bundle level for opted-in domains. Wix sites with custom domains can request HSTS preload after implementation. Misconfiguration can lock users out of a site if HTTPS breaks.
