Canonical URL
The preferred version of a page when duplicate or similar content exists.
The canonical tag (<link rel="canonical" href="...">) tells search engines which URL is authoritative when multiple versions of a page exist. Common use cases include www vs non-www, HTTP vs HTTPS, parameter URLs and content syndicated across sites. Self-referencing canonicals are also recommended on every page. Wix applies canonicals automatically with manual override available per page.
