The Wix AI Blog Writer can generate complete blog post drafts in minutes. But a raw AI draft will not rank against well-crafted human content. This lesson teaches you the editing workflow that transforms AI drafts into SEO-competitive, E-E-A-T-demonstrating content.
Generating the First Draft with Wix AI
Open the Wix Blog editor and use the AI content generation feature. Provide a specific, detailed prompt that includes your target keyword, the angle you want to take, and the audience you are writing for. A detailed prompt produces a much better first draft than a generic topic request.

The AI-to-Published Editing Workflow
Turning an AI draft into ranking content
- Generate the first draft using Wix AI with a detailed prompt including keyword and angle
- Read the entire draft and remove any factually incorrect or outdated information
- Add your personal experience, case studies and unique insights that only you can provide
- Replace generic examples with specific, real-world examples from your industry
- Restructure headings to match the search intent and include semantic keywords
- Add internal links to relevant pages on your Wix site
- Include external links to authoritative sources that support your claims
- Add original images, screenshots or diagrams that illustrate your points
- Write a unique introduction that hooks the reader with a specific promise or question
- Verify all statistics and claims by checking the original sources
- Add author bio, publication date and last-updated date for E-E-A-T signals
- Run the final version through a readability checker and aim for grade 8 or below
Adding E-E-A-T to AI Content
The biggest weakness of AI content is the absence of Experience and Expertise. Fix this by adding "From my experience working with X clients..." statements, including specific results and data from your own work, mentioning tools you have personally used, and sharing lessons learned from mistakes you have made.
How to Use Wix AI to Generate and Edit SEO Blog Content
Follow this end-to-end workflow to produce AI-assisted blog content that meets Google's quality standards and ranks for your target keywords.
Complete AI-assisted blog content creation and editing process in Wix
- Before generating any AI content, complete your keyword research first. Identify your target keyword, note the search intent (informational, how-to, comparison), and review the top 5 ranking articles to understand what depth of coverage is required.
- In your Wix Dashboard, navigate to Blog > New Post. Click the AI Write button in the post editor toolbar. In the prompt field, enter a detailed brief: "Write a comprehensive how-to guide on [keyword] for [target audience], covering [3 specific subtopics]. Tone: professional but approachable."
- Click Generate Draft and wait for the AI to produce the full post. Immediately save it as a draft without publishing. The AI draft is your raw material, not a finished product.
- Read the entire draft from start to finish and highlight or note: any factual errors, generic statements that lack specificity, missing sections compared to top-ranking competitors, and any sections that are genuinely good and accurate.
- Rewrite the introduction completely. The AI introduction is almost always generic. Your introduction should open with a specific statistic, a relatable problem statement, or a direct statement of what the reader will learn. Make it different from every competing article.
- Add a minimum of 3 first-person experience statements throughout the article. For example: "In my experience working with Wix clients, the most common mistake is..." or "When I tested this approach on a client site, the result was...". These experience signals are critical for E-E-A-T.
- Replace every generic example in the AI draft with a real, specific example. If the AI writes "for example, a business website", replace it with the specific type of business, the specific challenge and the specific result you have seen.
- Add 3-5 internal links to relevant pages on your Wix site. Link from contextually relevant anchor text within the article body. Never use "click here" or "learn more" as anchor text; use descriptive keyword-rich phrases instead.
- Insert your primary keyword naturally into the first 100 words of the article, into at least 2 H2 headings, and throughout the body at a density of approximately 1-2%. Read the article aloud to confirm keyword inclusion sounds natural.
- Before publishing, run the article through the Hemingway Editor at hemingwayapp.com. Aim for a readability grade of 8 or below. Shorten sentences longer than 25 words and replace passive voice with active voice wherever possible.
- Publish the post in Wix Blog and immediately use Google Search Console URL Inspection > Request Indexing to submit the new URL. Set a reminder to check rankings for the target keyword after 30, 60 and 90 days.
