Managing multiple Wix sites in Google Search Console becomes significantly more efficient with property groups. Property groups let you aggregate performance data across multiple properties, compare sites side by side, and manage access without logging in and out between accounts.
What GSC Property Groups Are
A property group in Google Search Console is a collection of verified properties that you can view in aggregate. Unlike individual properties, a group lets you see combined impressions, clicks, average CTR and average position across all included sites in a single report. This is valuable for agencies, consultants managing client sites, and businesses with multiple brands.
Creating a Property Group
Setting up a GSC property group
- Verify all sites you want to include as individual GSC properties first
- In GSC, click the property selector dropdown at the top left
- Choose "Create new group" from the bottom of the list
- Name the group (e.g., "Client Portfolio" or "Brand Family")
- Select the individual properties to include
- Confirm to create the group — it appears as a selectable property
Reporting Across Multiple Wix Sites
- Performance report shows aggregated clicks, impressions and CTR
- Filter by individual site within the group using the Site dimension
- Compare seasonal performance across sites in the same report
- Coverage report shows combined indexing status across all sites
- Enhancements report aggregates rich result eligibility across the group
Weekly Review Process for Multi-Site Managers
Switch to the group view at the start of each week to identify any site in the portfolio experiencing unusual impression or ranking drops. Then investigate individual properties where anomalies appear. This top-down approach is more efficient than reviewing each property independently and prevents problems from going unnoticed between weekly reviews.
How to Set Up and Use GSC Property Groups for Multiple Wix Sites
How to create a GSC property group and use it for efficient multi-site SEO monitoring
- Log in to Google Search Console and ensure all Wix sites you manage are individually verified as properties under your account.
- Click the property selector dropdown in the top-left corner of the GSC interface — it shows your currently selected property.
- Scroll to the bottom of the dropdown list and click Create new group.
- Enter a descriptive name for the group, such as "Client Portfolio 2026" or your agency name, then click Create.
- In the group settings panel, click Add property and select each verified Wix site property you want to include in the group.
- Save the group. It now appears as a selectable entry in the property selector alongside your individual properties.
- Select the group from the property selector and open the Performance > Search Results report to view aggregated clicks, impressions and average CTR across all included sites.
- Use the Sites dimension filter in the Performance report to isolate data for a specific Wix site within the group when investigating anomalies.
- At the start of each week, open the group performance report and compare current week impressions and clicks to the previous week — any site showing a significant drop warrants individual investigation.
- Grant client or stakeholder access to the group by clicking Settings > Users and Permissions > Add User, entering their email, and assigning a Restricted or Full permission level.
