Wix Search Console API integration: impressions, clicks and queries inside the dashboard
Module 15: Wix Analytics & SEO Reporting | Lesson 183 of 688 | 32 min read

Wix has integrated directly with the Google Search Console API to surface key search performance metrics inside the Wix Analytics dashboard. For busy site owners, this removes the need to switch between platforms for weekly performance checks — the core SEO data is available where you already spend time managing your site.
What Data the Integration Shows
- Total impressions: how many times your Wix pages appeared in Google results
- Total clicks: how many times users clicked through from Google to your site
- Average CTR: click-through rate across your entire site search presence
- Average position: your typical ranking position across all indexed queries
- Top queries: the search terms driving the most impressions and clicks
- Top pages: the Wix pages receiving the most organic search traffic
Enabling the Search Console Integration
Connecting GSC data to Wix Analytics
- Go to Wix Dashboard > Analytics > Overview
- Click Connect Google Search Console if the integration is not already active
- Sign in with the Google account that owns the GSC property for your Wix domain
- Grant the required API permissions for read access
- Allow 24-48 hours for historical data to populate
- Navigate to Analytics > SEO to find the integrated Search Console data
Limitations vs Full GSC Access
The Wix dashboard integration shows a summarised view of your GSC data — it does not replace full GSC access. You cannot access Coverage reports, Manual Actions, Core Web Vitals field data, URL Inspection or the full query filter and date comparison tools from within the Wix dashboard. Use the integration for quick weekly overviews; use full GSC for diagnosis and detailed analysis.
How to Connect Google Search Console to Your Wix Dashboard
How to set up the Wix GSC integration and use it for weekly SEO monitoring
- Log in to your Wix Dashboard and navigate to Marketing & SEO > Google Search Console.
- If GSC is not yet connected, click Connect to Google Search Console on the integration page.
- Sign in with the Google account that owns the GSC property for your Wix domain. If multiple Google accounts are available, select the one with verified ownership of the site.
- On the permissions screen, grant Wix read access to your Search Console data and click Allow.
- Return to the Wix Dashboard. Navigate to Analytics & Reports > Overview to access the integrated GSC data.
- Click the SEO tab within Wix Analytics to view the core metrics: total clicks, impressions, average CTR, and average position.
- Review the Top Queries section to see which search terms are driving the most impressions and clicks to your Wix site.
- Review the Top Pages section to identify which pages are performing best in organic search — use this to inform where to focus content updates.
- Each Monday morning, open this integrated view and compare the current week's clicks to the previous week. A drop of more than 20% in any metric warrants opening full Google Search Console for investigation.
- If you identify an anomaly in the Wix dashboard, navigate to the full GSC property at search.google.com/search-console for detailed filtering, URL inspection, and Coverage report diagnosis.
