Redirects on Wix Without Losing Rankings

Wix's 301 redirect manager is excellent. The mistakes happen at the planning stage. Here's the full pre-migration redirect playbook.

Transcript

Wix has one of the better redirect managers I've worked with: bulk CSV import, wildcard support, server-side 301s. The platform isn't the problem.

The problem is almost always at the planning stage. Today I'll walk you through the full pre-migration redirect playbook I use with clients.

We'll cover URL crawling and inventory, mapping logic, redirect chain prevention, the canonical conflict trap and the post-launch monitoring window.

Done well, a Wix migration loses zero rankings. Done badly, it costs months of recovery work.
