The Wix SEO Score is one of the most-asked-about features in the platform. Today we unpack exactly what it measures - and what it doesn't.
The score covers on-page and technical fundamentals: meta tags, headings, alt text, internal links, structured data and Core Web Vitals. That's useful.
It does not measure backlinks, brand authority, content depth, search intent alignment or competitive positioning. That's critical.
Use it as a checklist for the basics, then move on. A perfect score doesn't guarantee rankings; an 80 with great content and links beats a 100 with neither.
