Editorial Policy, Corrections & Publishing Principles

How we produce, verify, update and correct every piece of content published on wixseo.co.uk — and how you can hold us to it.

Publishing Principles

Every article, guide, lesson, tool description, and case study published on wixseo.co.uk is written or personally reviewed by Michael Andrews, a Wix-certified SEO consultant with 14 years of exclusive Wix platform experience.

Content is grounded in hands-on work from 750+ live client projects and independently verifiable sources (Google Search Central, Schema.org, web.dev, Wix Help Center). Opinions are clearly labelled as such and separated from documented platform behaviour.

We publish practitioner guidance, not affiliate content. No article on this site is written purely to rank for a keyword — every page serves a genuine information need for Wix site owners, designers, or SEO practitioners.

Editorial Process

Drafts are written against a structured brief covering scope, target reader, evidence sources, and success criteria. Before publication, every article is checked against a seven-point editorial checklist: factual accuracy, source attribution, currency of claims, alignment with current Wix platform behaviour, clarity, internal linking, and schema markup.

Technical content (anything touching structured data, redirects, crawl behaviour, Core Web Vitals, or platform APIs) is tested on a live Wix site before recommendations are published. Claims that cannot be reproduced are removed.

Fact-Checking & Verification

Every factual claim is traceable to either a first-party source (Google, Wix, Schema.org, W3C) or a documented client outcome. Screenshots, Search Console exports, and crawl data supporting case-study claims are retained internally for at least 24 months.

Statistics aggregated from multiple sources are cited inline with a link to the primary publication. We do not recycle "industry stat" figures without tracing them back to their original study.

Corrections & Updates Policy

If an error is discovered — by us, a reader, or a platform change that invalidates previous guidance — we correct the article, update the `dateModified` value in its schema markup, and add a short corrections note at the top of the page where the correction materially changes a recommendation.

Minor edits (typos, broken links, formatting) do not trigger a dateModified bump. Substantive changes (new data, revised methodology, superseded Wix features) always do.

To request a correction, email [email protected] with the URL and the specific factual issue. Corrections are reviewed within 2 working days.

Sources & Citations

Primary sources are preferred over secondary commentary. When we reference a Google product behaviour, we link to the Google documentation, not a third-party summary. When we reference a Wix feature, we link to the Wix Help Center or the Wix Studio release notes.

Where we report a client outcome, we identify the client (with their consent) and link to the live site. Where a client has requested anonymity, we clearly label the case study as "client anonymised" and do not fabricate a name.

Ethics & Conflicts of Interest

We disclose any commercial relationship with a product we recommend. The Wix Partner Program is a commercial relationship; we disclose it on every page that recommends Wix as a platform.

We do not accept payment for article placement, embedded links, or "guest posts" that promote third-party services. Affiliate links, when used, are labelled as such inline.

We do not use black-hat SEO techniques on our own site or on client sites. If a client requests tactics we consider harmful (PBNs, cloaking, review manipulation, automated link schemes), we decline the work and explain why.

Ownership & Funding

wixseo.co.uk is independently owned and operated by Michael Andrews, trading as Frontline Web. The site is funded entirely by revenue from SEO consulting engagements, The Complete Wix SEO Course, and the published book titles listed on our Amazon author profile. There are no external investors, and no third party has editorial influence over published content.

Actionable Feedback

Every article invites reader feedback via the comments on the blog, the contact form, and direct email to [email protected]. Feedback that identifies an error, an outdated claim, or a missing consideration is triaged weekly and actioned into the article where appropriate.

We respond to every substantive correction request within 2 working days. Where feedback results in a published change, the contributor is credited in the corrections note at the top of the article unless they request otherwise.

Report an error or request a correction
