March 2024 Spam Update
Ran alongside the March 2024 core update (5-20 Mar 2024) and put Google's new spam policies into force.
This spam update enforced the new spam policies announced in March 2024, including scaled content abuse (mass-produced low-value pages, including unchecked AI output), expired domain abuse and site reputation abuse. Wix sites publishing large volumes of automated content, or built on repurposed expired domains, were the most exposed. Sites caught could receive manual actions as well as algorithmic demotion.
