August 2025 Spam Update
A Google spam update refreshing the automated systems that detect and demote content breaking Google's spam policies, 26 Aug 2025 to 22 Sep 2025.
The update rolled out 26 Aug 2025 to 22 Sep 2025. Spam updates refresh the automated systems (such as SpamBrain) that catch content breaking Google's spam policies. Legitimate Wix business sites are usually unaffected; the risk sits with thin or scaled auto-generated pages, cloaking, sneaky redirects, hidden text or link schemes. If a Wix site dropped in this window, audit it against Google's spam policies rather than assuming a content-quality problem.
